Teaches Shapes July 28, 2005 M. Mospan (Atlanta, GA USA) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
This is a great puzzle! The voice speaking the names of each shape is very clear, and my 2 year old is learning his shapes using it! The puzzle says the shape name, and then he repeats it. Teaches beyond the circle, square, triangle! Very good learning tool! Seems durable, and batteries are lasting quite a while.
Another great product November 29, 2008 S. Bynum (NC, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My two year old was so excited about this puzzle when she first got it. After playing with it for two days she knew all of the shapes when they appeared in everyday encounters (like signs, tables, books, etc). However she did get bored with the puzzle after a week so I had to put it away. Instead of having it available for play every single day, I make it available once every two or three weeks to keep her excited about it. My 11 month old likes to chew on the pieces and it is still intact so once again M&D has created a wonderful/durable puzzle for little ones.
Taught my daughter her shapes in a day December 10, 2008 Emily (Fishers, IN USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My daughter recieved this puzzle when she was about a year and a half old. We love it! She can hear the shape sounds as she places the pieces into the puzzle. I would hear "Ock-a-don" coming out of her mouth (octagon) on a daily basis.
The only downside to the puzzle is that every once in awhile the sensors stop working and the pieces don't make sound. OR the pieces will randomly go off while they are being stored. I have heard from many other friends who have this puzzle that even when the pieces aren't even near the puzzle, it will talk. The biggest trigger is turning the light on in a room where the puzzle has been sitting. Suddenly late at night you hear, "Square!" Nothing like freaking you out when no one else is around. ;)
this is REALLY cool! January 17, 2009 Steven (OH USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
the neatest puzzle EVER! as you set the shapes in their place, the voice tells you the word for that piece. Underneath are cool pictures related to each shape - under the oval is a auto racetrack! Grown ups love this thing as much as the child did. Get One!
Great for children with Autism and speech delays. June 21, 2009 J. Edmond 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
